Terms and Conditions for Teaching

Lessons and payment

Lessons are 1 hour long and are booked in blocks of 6 weeks. They take place in Sidmouth or surrounding areas. Additional travelling costs may be incurred depending on the location.

Payment must be made by bank transfer 48 hours in advance of the new teaching block.

Cancellation

In the event of cancellation e.g. due to sickness, please inform me by email at

Lessons cancelled by the student less than 24 hours in advance or not attended by the student will not be refunded. Lessons cancelled by the student with more than 24 hours notice will be re-arranged subject to availability.

If I cancel a lesson, the lesson will be rearranged for the earliest mutually convenient date and the full tuition fee credited to the student's account.

The lessons can be cancelled by either side with 30 days written notice.

Conduct

I will act with professionalism during the lessons and with due care to the student’s comfort and needs.
 

The student is required to behave in a manner conducive to learning.

Assessment 

Informal assessments may take place to inform me of the next steps in learning but all assessment papers will be kept in line with the privacy policy.
