Shorter screening assessments

If your child is between 6 - 15 years old and is showing symptoms of dyslexia but you are not sure about carrying out a full diagnostic assessment, they may benefit from having a shorter assessment lasting about 2 hours. This will result in a shorter summary report identifying strengths and weaknesses, and making some recommendations for support. It is not possible to use this report to give a diagnosis. The assessments will include tests of underlying ability, literacy skills, working memory and phonological awareness.

If your child is having maths difficulties, I could carry out an informal maths assessment lasting approximately 2 hours. This would result in a shorter summary report and would not give a diagnosis, but would inform you of the child's strengths and difficulties, giving some recommendations to support.
The cost of this assessment varies depending on the number of assessments used.
Support to schools
I am experienced in accessing for Access Arrangements (AA) as well as writing reports following EHCNA requests from schools.
I can offer advice and support in these areas, as well as general questions regarding supporting pupils with dyslexia.
Teaching
I also offer 1:1 teaching to 6 - 12 year olds in literacy and maths. All lessons last for 1 hour and cost £42 per hour. The lessons are multi-sensory and are adapted to the individual's needs.

Please contact me by email or telephone if you would like to know more about the assessments, teaching or support. I am more than happy to answer any questions. I can provide a free telephone consultation which can enable me to offer advice and to discuss the cost and process.
